STRONGER WITH AGE:
MY STORY, YOUR JOURNEY
Hi, I’m Chris. I was born in 1954 in northern Sweden, where I grew up riding horses on my grandfather’s farm.
That early exposure taught me the importance of strength, balance, and coordination — principles I’ve carried with me throughout life.
While I initially dreamed of becoming a professional jockey, I eventually found my career in a different kind of horsepower: leading global automotive companies, with the last 24 years spent in Singapore.
But through it all — the travel, the boardrooms, the pressure — I always made fitness a priority. I understood early on that staying active wasn’t just about looking good or performing better, but about ageing well. Even now at 70, I remain committed to daily training, not to win medals, but to live fully and independently.
After retiring, I saw how many people over 50 had given up on fitness, thinking it was too late or too difficult. That couldn’t be further from the truth. With the right methods, I believe anyone can improve strength, mobility, balance, and energy — no matter their age.
I now work with individuals over 50 to help them return to an active lifestyle. My approach is grounded in real experience — more than 60 years of injury-free training. I use a mix of bodyweight exercises, strength training, balance drills, and mobility work. I also emphasise nervous system activation, something often overlooked but key to coordination, posture, and injury prevention.
You don’t need to run marathons. In fact, I often say: “The real marathon isn’t 42km — it’s staying fit for 42 years.” Show me how fit you are at 70, and I’ll tell you whether you’ve won. Too much focus on competition often leads to injuries, which take longer to heal as we age. Sometimes, the damage is permanent.
Instead, treat physical activity as part of your daily life. Compete against yourself — progress slowly, understand your body, and respect its signals.
Whether you’re just getting started or trying to recover lost ground, I’ll help you tune into your body, identify weak points, and train smart — not just hard. Together, we’ll build a routine that fits your lifestyle and goals.
